Visa Types

Tourism
For leisure travel, sightseeing, holidays, or visiting friends and family in Schengen countries. Valid for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
Business
Covers business meetings, conferences, trade fairs, and negotiations. Does not permit employment. Valid for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
Transit
Required for passing through a Schengen airport international zone (Type A) or crossing through Schengen territory en route to a third country (Type B).
Short / Long Term
Short-stay (Type C) allows up to 90 days. Long-stay (Type D) is a national visa for stays exceeding 90 days, issued by the destination country for work, study, or family reunion.
Student
For enrollment in a recognized academic program, language course, or student exchange. Usually a long-stay national visa issued by the host country.
Work
For employment or professional assignments in a Schengen country. Requires a work permit from the destination country and is issued as a long-stay national visa.
